Day 1, Arrival in Entebbe
On your grand arrival late in the evening at the Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you.Having passed immigration and luggage collection please exit the arrival hall and look out for your guide who will be holding up a signboard mentioning your name and featuring the logo of Zara Tours.You will be dropped off at The Boma in Entebbe and spend the first night.

Day 2 Depart for Murchison Falls National ParkAfter breakfast drive to Murchison Falls. Visit of Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way. 15 Rhinos can be seen in this small park. The wildlife biodiversity in Murchison Falls National Park contains the most astonishing number of species -76 types of mammals and 451 different birds. The River Nile on its journey from Murchison Falls attracts a whole host of different wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos and water birds. Other animals include lion, warthogs, buffalo, rare aquatic sitatunga antelope, giant forest hog, Uganda kob, topi, waterbuck, elephant, and leopard. Time permitting you can always pay a courtesy call to a school and visit the top of the falls as well. Established in 1954, Paraa Safari Lodge is in Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge is located in the northwest of Uganda overlooking one of the nature’s best-kept secrets, the River Nile, on its journey from its source at Lake Victoria to join Lake Albert – here it is suddenly channeled into a gorge only six meters wide and cascades 43 meters below. The earth literally trembles at Murchison Falls -one of the world’s most powerful flows of natural water.

Day 3 Boat Safari on the NileAfter Breakfast you will have a boat trip on the Nile Delta followed by an evening game drive around the park.Murchison Falls National Park plays host to many unique attractions and adventures, you will see the diversity of wildlife and amazing landscapes that Uganda has to offer.
DAY 4 Depart for Kibale National ParkToday your guide will drive you from Jinja to Kibale National Park. The 795-km² park is best known for its 560 km²of primate-rich tropical forests. The forest contains 13 primates and birdlife is rich with a 335 list, which includes rare and endemic species. In the afternoon experience forest walks and bird watching with safari guide. Primate Lodge in Kibale is an exclusive eco-lodge situated in the heart of Kibale Forest National Park. Privately secluded in the rainforest, this safari lodge offers you a truly authentic jungle experience and is the perfect gateway for tracking the primates in Uganda. DAY 5 Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park
Chimpanzee tracking is the most popular of Kibale’s walks and starts at 08:00.Habituated groups have been tracked since 1993 and the chance of finding them is very good indeed. Also look out for the black and white colobus, red tailed monkey and gray-
cheeked mangabey. Your guides will point out sunbirds, pittas, and other bird species and will explain the traditional uses of plant species within the forest. In the afternoon you will visit the fascinating Bigodi Wetlands. The Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary features 8 primate species, numerous other interesting mammals, over 200 bird species, many reptiles, and uncounted varieties of trees, shrubs, and vines.Overnight

DAY 6 Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park

We depart with our private driver/guide to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning and can enjoy a game drive on the way to our accommodation. Time to relax and to swim in the
pool.

DAY 7 Game Drive & Boat Trip in Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning starts with a game drive to the Kasenyi Area to look for lion pride and other
wildlife. Uganda kobs mate around this area and this gives you a chance to see their breeding behaviors. Many animals will cross your paths, elephants, antelopes and with a bit of luck also lions or hyenas. Head back to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon embark one of the boats for a boat trip.This will allow you to experience wildlife up close
where hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away, buffalo linger in the shallows and a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the river’s edge. Amongst those, you will see are the malachite and pied kingfishers, cormorants, great white and pink-backed pelicans and the open-billed stork. With some luck, you will even spot elephants, buffaloes,
lions hunting on the river banks coming for a drink and a bath.We return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 8 Trekking Kyambura George
After an excellent breakfast, we will go to Kyambura gorge for an interesting hiking. This gorge with its steep slopes and edges is the home of a big forest and it extraordinarily extends into the wide savanna grassland of QENP. Alongside the forest, the visitor can see chimpanzees, several types of primates, like the Black-and- white Colobus and Vervet monkeys. There is also an abundance of birds because the gorge is crossed by a river. Here, hippos lie lazily in water, elephants, and antelopes come to drink and cool themselves at the river.

DAY 9 Depart for Rwanda
In the morning we will leave QENP and continue our safari southwards to the Ugandan-Rwandan border. At Kabale, one gets the first impressive view of the volcanic mountains of the Virunga complex. Later we will cross the border to Rwanda. From here, it no longer very far to Parc National des Volcans and you can soon move to your lodge. Now you can prepare in a breath-taking landscape for an amazing hiking

Day 10 Gorilla Tracking in Parc National des Volcans
Wake up relatively early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for your gorilla trek.Before7.45am report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the under
growth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas.The trek can take from half an hour to 7 hours–a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of
walking shoes.In the afternoon depending on your trek, you can choose
from some of the activities around the Lodge.Day 11 LakeBunyonyiDrive back to Uganda and to Lake Bunyonyi.This the most beautiful part of the country and got its name from the many little Birds in this area. Picnic lunch on the way. In the afternoon you can relax at the hotel and simply enjoy the beauty of this marvelous scenery. Or you can take part in one of the nature walks or canoeing tours (optional).

Day 12 Depart to Lake Mburo National Park

In the early morning, we will drive from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo. Enjoy driving through
Kabale highlands, which is also called the Suisse of Africa.The topography is mainly green, interlocking and heavily cultivated hills with spectacular valleys. The altitude of the district ranges between 1,219 meters (3,999ft) and 2,347 meters (7,700ft) above sea level.This altitude makes it colder than the rest of the country. Depending on the time,
Lunch will be at your lodge. Rwakobo Rock is a peaceful and secluded retreat adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park where you can breathe in the essence of wild Uganda. The 8 comfortable and spacious cottages are dotted around the hill, all very private and offering great sunset views. This idyllic spot is situated just over 1Km from the Nshara Gate of Lake Mburo National Park. Day or night excursions into the park are very worthwhile.

Day 13 Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks, which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi, and reedbuck. On this day you have the choice between an early morning walk or a boat ride in the afternoon.

DAY14 Depart for Entebbe
Your Zara Tours guide will drive you back to your hotel in Entebbe to change and rest a little bit before the flight back home. After an exciting journey, the guide will say good-bye
to you. Please note that check-in for international flights should be done 2 hours prior to departure of the flight. In the departure hall (after check-in) you will find a small restaurant, a sitting area and several duty-free shops for your convenience.

    • Long sleeve shirts and trousers (old clothes recommended as they can get very dirty and torn from the thorns and jungle foliage)
    • Insect repellent and sunscreen
    • Hat and sunglasses (although once in the jungle you are in the shade)
    • Gardening gloves to protect your hand from the thorns and vines
    • Good, comfortable sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support
    • Long socks to truck your trousers into
    • Rain jacket
    • Camera with lenses of different mill meters
    • Waterproof rucksack (or plastic bags inside your rucksack)
    • Plenty of water (the camp provides a packed lunch and lots of water
    • For evenings at the camp, it is worth taking a warm fleece, as evenings can be chilly. For the daytime light, casual clothes generally suffice.
